How do we as Human Beings manifest the Glory of God?
I prefix this post with my now familiar ramble of I know only in part. I say this not for religious appearances or to sound humble but because it is true. I am in the process of unlearning and learning. Like the blind men of Hindustan grasping the elephant, to see the glory of God, many different people with one heart and mind will sense different parts of God’s eternal mystery.
Even to get to this point, I have learnt from the Word of God and the Holy Spirit but also via numerous fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and children in God.
I have first examined different current methods of attaining the Glory of God. Most known to me are the Abrahamic Religions through my upbringing, they are; Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But I am also familiar with Sikhism and Hinduism through some of my closest friends who are like family.
A very brief summary of existing methods from my limited perspective:
God lives with you but you must try to fulfil all the law of Moses (Torah) to be righteous – Jewish method
God is near you, you must try to reach Him by being morally upright and obeying Islamic law – Islamic method
God (Higher Being) is around you in multiple forms including nature, you must try to reach him/her/them by being morally upright, kind and meditating on God (Higher Being) in multiple forms – method of most other religious faiths.
God lives in you and is your righteousness but you must also try to fulfil the requirements of the law to be righteous enough – Religious Christian method.
What is the common limitation of all the above?
The limitation of all the above is the “trying”. No matter how hard or how close we get, by trying all of us fail regardless of which of the above methods we have taken.
They all bring us, who are truly seeking God, to the same point; the imperfect perfect state – an honest and humble heart (the heart of Gold).
But it does not stop here. There is more.
With all these methods, we can glimpse the glory of God but we cannot sustain it
All of us that reach imperfect perfection and that desire to press into Sustainable Glory need to take a further step.
We do this by fully embracing Grace and accepting ourselves in our imperfect state that God may be made perfect in us but in order to do this we must accept Jesus’ sacrifice.
Embracing Grace is accepting that God loves you just as you are.
God is True Love. The covenant of God’s love is I will meet you there.
We do not need to be afraid of God, we do not need to be ashamed of our frailties and weaknesses, we need to take them to God and offer it as our sacrifice of worship in response to Jesus’s sacrifice as an act of reverence. It is by doing this that God’s love is perfected in us.
Religion teaches us to be afraid of God, Grace shows us that reverential fear of God is worship and they are two very different things. This is why the Bible teaches, “Perfect love eradicates ‘unholy’ fear” and that “ The ‘holy’ fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” The former creates distance, the latter closeness between humanity and God.
When God’s love is perfected in us, we naturally fulfil the law (and live morally upright), show honour and achieve oneness with God without even trying.
This is the Grace method and what Jesus Christ died for. It is not a religion. Religion imprisons, this is freedom.
This is the true Gospel! This is The Good News! This is Glory!

God Bless You
“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.”
Hebrews 5:12-14 NLT
“But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth. So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us. I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray. But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.”
1 John 2:20-27 NLT
“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.”
Romans 8:15-17 NLT
“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”
John 14:17 NLT
